Japan Pledges to Train 1000 Tanzania Geothermal Experts (AllAfrica.com)

Japan has promised to train 1000 Tanzanians on Geothermal Power issues to enable the country to have its own experts in thermal generation.

The Japanese Minister for Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr Toshimitsu Motegi said in Dar es Salaam that the training will start in January, next year. He was speaking during a one-day Tanzania-Japan Business Forum held in the city.

In another development, Mr Motegi said the Japanese government will make more contribution to creation of employment and capacity building in Africa.
