Indonesia: Possible Geothermal Energy Resources Attract Chinese Investors in North Sulawesi Province

Chinese investors keen to manage N Sulawesi's geothermal sources (Antara News.com)

Several Chinese investors have expressed keen interest in managing geothermal sources in Tomohon city, North Sulawesi province, an official said.

"A number of investors are interested in managing geothermal sources in Tomohon city," Head of the North Sulawesi Provincial Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Henry Kaitjily said in Manado on Tuesday.

The geothermal sources have the potential to generate 1,400 megawatts of electrical power. However, only 200 megawatts of electricity have been produced, he said.
