Egypt: Government to Develop Map of Geothermal Energy Resources - Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy (MIIC) requested the ministry of investment and international cooperation to seek new international funds to set up a geothermal energy map in Egypt

USA: Employment in US Geothermal Energy Sector Increases - Employment in the geothermal power sector increased by 599 to 8,526 in 2018, an increase of 7.6%

USA: Trump Administration Wants to Cut Budget of Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy by 70% - The request is unlikely to be granted by Congress, especially with Democrats in charge of the House, but the figure represents an opening bargaining position for negotiations by the White House.
Bolivia: Spanish Company and Ormat Win Tender for Construction of 5 MW Sol de Mañana Geothermal Pilot Plant - Sacyr Industrial, together with Ormat, won the tender for the construction of a 5 MW pilot plant at the Sol de Mañana geothermal field (22º25' latitude and 67º45'W), located at almost 4,980 km altitude, near the Laguna Colorada, the famous Uyuni salt flat and the border with Chile.
