The geothermal, solar thermal electricity, bioenergy and ocean energy sectors come together for an afternoon of discussions to highlight how flexible renewable technologies fit in Europe’s path towards a carbon neutral economy. The workshop, organised in the framework of the DG ETIP project, will include a first panel to present the potential of these energy sources for the effective decarbonisation of the electricity system. A second panel will look at the financing aspect of this transition, and how to value adequately the specific services of these renewable energy technologies: flexibility and dispatchability. Agenda
