La ministra de Energía, Susana Jiménez, destacó las oportunidades que tiene la geotermia para incorporarse con mayor fuerza en la matriz energética nacional, con proyectos de gran escala y de baja entalpía para la calefacción distrital en las ciudades, por lo que afirmó “nuestra plena confianza en el aporte de la geotermia, pues tenemos la convicción de que esta tecnología tiene todas las potencialidades para aumentar su participación en la matriz, tanto en generación eléctrica como en usos directos en los sectores residenciales y productivos”.
