Chile: Cerro Pabellón Geothermal Power Project Set to be Expanded by 33 MW - After that project is completed, GDN may explore expanding the project to a massive 100 MW.

Tuesday, September 4

Iceland: Developer of Modular Geothermal Wellhead Power Plants taken Over by Canadian Company - Energy Co-Invest Global Corp. (ECC Global) of Toronto, Canada has acquired all critical assets of Green Energy Geothermal (GEG), a leading provider of turnkey modular geothermal wellhead power plants.

India, Pakistan: Geothermal Energy Could Power Tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir - NHIDCL is thinking about using geothermal energy for powering energy needs of tunnels as well as for heating them in winters.

USA: Funding for 4 Projects for Researching Reliable Zonal Isolation Tools and Technologies for for Enhanced Geothermal Systems - The projects seek to improve the performance and increase the cost-effectiveness of EGS through research in zonal isolation.

Guatemala: Flow Tests Expected to Demonstrate an Economic Geothermal Resource at Mita Project - Bluestone envisions a staged approach, with Phase 1 being a smaller operation that could supplement power requirements to the mine or be sold into the privatized national grid.

USA, California: Geothermal Energy Bill Came Close to Passing, but.......The geothermal bill might have passed, if not for last-minute opposition from state Sen. Jeff Stone, a Republican who represents the Coachella Valley.

Japan: More Climeon Geothermal Heat Power Modules Ordered - In July 2018, Baseload Capital Sweden placed an order for Heat Power modules worth SEK 19.5 million. Baseload Capital has now placed an additional order amounting to SEK 19.5 million.
