The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) Geothermal Library contains over 40,000 records on all aspects of geothermal energy, including exploration, reservoir engineering, power plant design and operation, direct use, geothermal heat pumps, regulatory issues, energy policy, energy markets, news briefs, and more. Now includes all 212 Transactions papers from the 2017 GRC Annual Meeting.


Geothermal Resources Council Announces New Board of Directors

The global GRC membership took part in the ballot in November, and the result was that four new members of the Board were elected: Roland Horne, Jennifer Livermore, Josh Nordquist and Ann Robertson-Tait.

Indonesia: 30 MW Geothermal Power Plant in West Java Starts Operation - The 30 MW Karaha Bodas geothermal power plant in West Java, Indonesia, about 80 km southeast of the West Java provincial capital, Bandung, has started generating electricity for the national grid.

Indonesia: Star Energy to Develop Two New Geothermal Energy Concessions - To grow to 1.2 GW, we will expand the capacity of current geothermal assets and develop two new concessions: Hamiding in the Maluku Islands and South Sekincau in Sumatra.

Philippines: New Rules Would Confirm Allowance of Foreign Ownership of Geothermal Projects - Under DC 2009-09-0011, only the development of geothermal resources is listed as open to foreign ownership.

Philippines: Agreement Reached on 40 MW Unified Leyte Geothermal Power Administration - Phinma Energy Corp. and PSALM have agreed to mutually terminate the administration agreement for the 40-megawatt strip of energy of the Unified Leyte Geothermal Power Plant.

Taiwan: Drilling of Geothermal Exploration Well Begins on Green Island - Drilling of a geothermal exploration well began Thursday on Green Island, with a plan to install a 200-kilowatt geothermal generator by the end of 2019.
