Iran Imports Turbines for Geothermal Power Plant from Italy (Trend)

Iran has imported turbines for its first geothermal power plant from Italy, said Hamid Molouki, the consultant to the project’s manager.

The geothermal power plant will be established in the northwestern city of Meshkin Shahr, and will start electricity generation within less than two years, Iran’s Mehr news agency quoted Molouki as saying on May 30. Preliminary studies for establishing the power plant started 10 years ago and an appropriate location has been found in the northwestern city of Meshkin Shahr, he noted.
