U.S Homeowners on Clean Energy: A National Survey 2015 (Clean Edge)

In the second annual Clean Edge and SolarCity survey on American homeowners’ attitudes toward clean energy, one thing is resoundingly clear. In a nation divided on many issues, Americans are overwhelmingly united in their support of renewable energy. The poll conducted by national polling firm Zogby Analytics, finds that nearly nine out of ten Americans (87%) believe renewable energy is important to the country’s future.


However, when homeowners were asked to pick which specific energy sources were most important to the nation’s future, solar (50%) and wind (42%) led the pack, followed by natural gas (33%) and energy efficiency (25%). Geothermal (10%) was low on the list below nuclear and just above coal.
