The Manufacturing sector in Kenya was a key driver in the expansion of the Kenyan economy going by the latest statistics however this sector has been bedevilled by the high cost of operation occasioned by high power cost, the Kenyan government promised to install 500 MW into the national grid by the year 2016, Kengen, Kenya's electricity generating company is responsible for the production of 80 per cent of the power consumed in the country, Albert Mugo the managing director of Kengen joins CNBC Africa to talk about this ambitious plan.
