Geothermal Developer Entitled to Incentives (BusinessWorld Online Edition)

Basic Energy Corp. has been registered with the Philippines government as a developer of geothermal resources in Sorsogon, an endorsement that will allow the firm to secure incentives for its project.

The company said it received on Jan. 17 from the Energy department a certificate of registration as a renewable energy (RE) developer of geothermal resources.

The registration covers its geothermal service contract that gives the firm the right to explore and develop resources located in Magallanes, Juban, Irosin, Magdalena, Matnog and Bulan in Sorsogon.
