GRC Members are Finalists for Domestic Geothermal Energy Honors

Members of the Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) figure prominently in the list of finalists for the U.S. GEA Honors, which recognize companies and individuals in the USA, that have made significant contributions during the past year to advancing technology, spurring economic development and protecting the environment, within the domestic geothermal energy industry.

In the Technological Advancement category, awarded to an individual or company that has developed a new, innovative, or pioneering technology to further geothermal development, the finalists include GRC member company U.S. Geothermal for their 22 MW Neal Hot Springs Geothermal Power Plant.

In the Environmental Stewardship category, awarded to an individual or company that has fostered outstanding environmental stewardship through the use of geothermal systems presented in conjunction with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI), the finalists include GRC member Dale Merrick of Canby Geothermal.
