Developing higher enthalpy geothermal resources by deep drilling has the potential to greatly increase the power output per well, resulting in improved economics. This workshop is aimed at discussing this approach and fostering mutually advantageous collaborations between Industry, Academia and Federal and State Agencies to promote development of higher enthalpy geothermal systems in the USA. Such collaborations are necessary because producing from high-temperature geothermal systems requires deep wells that are challenging and expensive to drill and complete.
