Geothermal Lowers Electricity Bills in Philippines (Manila Bulletin)

Customers under the coverage of Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative (Noreco2) will now benefit from lower rates in their monthly billing this January.

Noreco 2 General Manager Eunora Sameon said the member-customer-owners (MCOs) of Noreco2 will enjoy a decrease in the generation charge of P0.0737 per kilowatt hour.

She said the discounted amount is due to the availment by the electric coop of the 3.2 percent prompt payment from Green Core Geothermal, Inc. (GCGI).
