Korean Investor Eyes Geothermal Power Plant in Sumatra (Jakarta Post)

An investor from South Korea is eyeing a steam power plant (PLTU) construction project in Tebo regency, Jambi province in central Sumatra.The new power plant would generate 400 MWe.

Head of Jambi Regional Investment Coordinating Board and Integrated Service Center (BKMPD-PPT) Hefni Zen said that Jambi Governor Hasan Basri Agus would sign an agreement with a Korean company in the near future.

The project, Hefni said would be a collaboration between a Tabo-owned regional company and a South Korean firm with support from the respective governments.
