Geothermal energy developer Maibarara Geothermal Inc. signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract with Meralco Industrial Engineering Services Corp. for the transmission line component of the 20-megawatt Maibarara geothermal power project.
Maibarara also signed a contract with Yokogawa Philippines Inc. on Dec. 4 for the design, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the instrumentation and control systems of the Maibarara power plant and steamfield facilities.
Yokogawa will complete the installation and testing of the instrumentation and control system by June 2013.
