Geothermal Plant a Tourist Attraction (NTVKenya)
The construction of a leisure center complete with a spa which began mid last year is at an advanced stage. Once steam has been used to generate electricity at the Olkaria complex, it is channeled to a pool, which can accommodate 500 people at one go. The hot water extracted from geothermal wells has to be channeled to two different pools before tourists can take a dip and swim. (Video: 3:08 Minutes)
