Preliminary Work Starts on New Geothermal Well in Klamath County, Oregon (Herald and News - Klamath Falls)
Three years of research is being put to the test by Klamath Basin Geopower, a company that has been gathering and evaluating scientific data before drilling a geothermal exploration well in the Olene area.
If the first well proves successful, four more Olene-area production wells will be drilled to provide enough 250-plus-degree water to develop a 20 MWe power production plant.
