Op donderdag 5 maart 2020 is het ‘Rijswijk Centre for Sustainable Geo-energy’ (RCSG) geopend. Het RCSG is een uniek fieldlab waar aardwarmteprojecten op ware schaal getest kunnen worden. Aardwarmte kan een belangrijke rol spelen in de energietransitie; in 2050 kunnen we met aardwarmte in een kwart van de warmtebehoefte in Nederland voorzien. Om die ontwikkeling te versnellen, hebben het Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat, Energie Beheer Nederland, Provincie Zuid-Holland, Gemeente Rijswijk en TNO het RCSG opgericht.
