Geothermal Institute (
Dept. Engineering Science,
University of Auckland) is looking to recruit a PhD candidate for a funded project looking at developing new methods for integrating microseismicity with geothermal reservoir models.
These will help us to understand the super-deep, super-hot roots of geothermal systems, and develop better ways to sustainably utilise these resources.
Candidates must have a strong background in mathematics, computer programming and physics. Some geoscience background would be helpful but is not essential.
