Geothermal energy has enormous potential as a renewable energy source. Although currently in its early stages, it is expected that geothermal will play an important role in the shift towards a fossil-free society. The regions of Tuscany, Scotland, Cleantech Region Netherlands and Arnhem Nijmegen, along with other European regions, have established a transnational European Smart Specialisation (S3) partnership in order to further develop geothermal techniques, share knowledge and work with the European Commission on common challenges in the field of geothermal energy.
In order to kick off the S3 collaboration, this workshop will highlight best practice, explore technical and social issues concerning geothermal drilling and consider the possibility of collaboration. Register.........
