Enel S.p.A. published its Quarterly Bulletin, with the Group’s operating data relating to the fourth quarter and full year of 2018.
The company generated over 21% more electricity from renewables in 2018, compared with the previous year. Output from renewable energy – wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other sources – was 98,940 gigawatt-hours last year, up from 81,696 GWh in 2017.
Geothermal accounted for 5,881 GWh in 2018 up from 5,820 GWh in 2017.
Net installed capacity of geothermal was 804 MW of which 762 MW were located in Italy and 41 MW in South America (Cerro Pabellón geothermal power plant).
