Sustainable Energy Provides Majority of U.S. Electricity
The 2019 edition of the Sustainable Energy in America Factbook – produced for the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) for Sustainable Energy by BloombergNEF, provides up-to-date, accurate market information on the U.S. energy landscape. It includes an in-depth look at the energy efficiency, natural gas, and renewable energy sectors, and covers emerging technology areas such as carbon capture, utilization, and storage; sustainable transportation; and energy storage.
In terms of other renewable energy technologies, hydro added 142 MW, biomass, biogas and waste to energy added 83 MW, and geothermal added 53 MW. None of these technologies benefitted in 2018 from federal tax credit support.
