The Philippines Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has renewed Maibarara Geothermal, Inc.’s (MGI) certificate of compliance (COC) to operate its two geothermal facilities in Sto. Tomas town, Batangas province, PetroEnergy Resources Corp. said on Wednesday.
In a disclosure, the listed energy firm identified the facilities as the 20-megawatt Maibarara-1 and 12-MW Maibarara-2 , and said the COC allowed it to operate the power plants until October 2023.
MGI is a joint venture between PetroEnergy renewable-energy unit PetroGreen Energy Corp. (65 percent), PHINMA Energy Corp. (25 percent) and state-owned PNOC Renewables Corp. (10 percent).
