NV Energy is seeking up to 350 megawatts of additional long-term renewable energy and supplemental battery energy storage systems to advance its commitment to clean energy for Nevada.
This Fall 2018 Renewable Energy Request for Proposals also provides bidders the opportunity to propose supplemental battery energy storage systems.
Details can be found in the Fall 2018 Renewable Energy RFP Protocol Document, but key highlights are:
- Deadline for bids is December 10, 2018;
- NV Energy is seeking proposals for renewable generation, including dispatchable renewable generation;
- Projects can range in size from 20 megawatts up to 350 megawatts;
- Projects must be capable of delivering energy to serve load in NV Energy’s retail service territory;
- Specific proposal product types are described in the Fall 2018 Renewable Energy RFP Protocol Document;
- Supplemental battery energy storage systems can be proposed in addition to renewable energy projects;
- Projects must be located within the state of Nevada;
- The projects must be approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada; and
- Project proposals must allow for a commercial operation date on or before December 31, 2023
