Earlier this year, an ambitious project to create a geothermal-heated spa at Jubilee Pool was given planning approval.
The move means the pool will be open all year round, with drilling having already started to reach the hot rocks which will heat the water - however this was paused to enable better traffic flow during the summer holidays.
A Crowdfunder was put together to raise funds for the ground-breaking project, and it's just reached its minimum target of £350k - meaning the plan will definitely go ahead.
But the team hopes to raise another £150k before the end of the month to make sure the new facilities are even better than planned with the addition of indoor hot showers, improved changing areas and disabled facilities.
