Around 20 representatives from different local government units, National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and other stakeholders gather to discuss with the Department of Energy (DoE) the geothermal viability of Mt. Malindang in the province of Misamis Occidental.
Headed by DOE's Renewable Energy Management Bureau (DoE-REMB) in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), the stakeholders were informed about the possibility of putting up a Geothermal power plant in Mt. Malindang which can ease the province's problem on power crisis.
