Kenya: Japanese Agency Pledges Ongoing Support for Geothermal Energy Development

JICA pledges more support for GDC’s capacity building (News Release)

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has pledged to continue its support for Geothermal Development Company (GDC)’s capacity building programme on geothermal development.

JICA has appointed a new programme consultant Ms. Chiyoko Miyata to act as the link between the organisation and GDC in the implementation of the programme that has already seen a host of GDC staff trained on geothermal development. The programme is expected to run through to 2019.

GDC is committed towards building its internal capacity as it targets a 100% utilisation of its internal human resource in its drilling activities.
