India: One Day International Geothermal Energy Conference in Gujarat, India

3rd International Conference on Geothermal Energy (Centre of Excellence for Geothermal Energy - CEGE, PDPU)

The potential Geothermal Energy In India has not yet been tapped. Puga Valley (Jammu and Kashmir), Tatapani (Chhattisgarh), Chamoli (Uttarakhand), and Bakreshwar (West Bengal) and Gujarat have been looked upon as the potential geothermal reservoirs.

A centre dedicated to research & development activities in the area of exploration and exploitation of geothermal energy has been established. With the support of GoG, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University established the Centre of Excellence for Geothermal Energy (CEGE) on 10th of October, 2013.
