Turkey: Zorlu Gets Financing for Construction of 65 MW Unit 2 of Kızıldere III Geothermal Power Plant

Istanbul-based Zorlu Enerji has announced that wholly owned unit Zorlu Dogal Elektrik has received project financing credit of $190 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Akbank, Is Bankasi and TSKB.

The funds are to be used by Zorlu Dogal Elektrik Uretimi AS for the construction of unit 2 of the Kızıldere III geothermal power plant in West Anatolia in western Turkey. The extension will increase the plant's capacity from 100 MW to 165 MW. Kızıldere III unit 1 is currently under construction.
