Global Geothermal News yesterday reported that Toshiba Corporation and Ormat Technologies Inc. had announced that the first unit of the Sarulla geothermal power plant, located in Indonesia's North Sumatra, had commenced commercial operation. Consortium partner Kyushu Electric Power has provided a good photo showing an aerial view of the complex.
