The geothermal potential in Chile is 2,440 to 3,500 MW, but currently has 0 MW in operation. Cerro Pabellón is the most advanced geothermal project in the country, slated to begin its operation in March 2017. The Ministry of Energy hosted a workshop to discuss the potential and opportunities of Geothermal in the country.
