GTO Announces Topics under SBIR/STTR (EERE/GTO)
The Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) has announced two topics under the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program for upcoming funding opportunities for innovations in Geothermal Heat Pump (GHP) systems and Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS):
Topic 12: Innovations That Enable Commercial Deployment Of Enhanced Geothermal Systems: GTO seeks the development and commercialization of innovations that will enable cost-competitive deployment of EGS-based electricity generation in the U.S. We are interested in a broad range of innovations, as described in GTO’s 2013 EGS Roadmap. Innovations of interest can be in software, which may include, but are not limited to, models and algorithms, such as real-time joint inversion or multicomponent fully-coupled geomechanical models.
For topic questions please contact Josh Mengers at joshua.mengers@ee.doe.gov.
The Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for these topics will be issued on November 28, 2016. To apply, a mandatory letter of intent must be submitted by 5:00 PM EST on Monday December 19, 2016.
