Paisley Geothermal Fixes Faults in Step Towards Start (Lake County Examiner)

Surprise Valley Electric’s ongoing efforts to establish a 3 MW geothermal energy plant just outside of Paisley in southern Oregon has encountered several major mechanical issues, delaying the expected launch date, but as power generating tests have been successfully conducted over the past month, operations at the plant are coming closer to coming online.

With funding in hand to assist with construction, a facility is now nearly ready to supply Paisley and the surrounding areas with affordable renewable power available 24 hours a day.

A specific start date was not provided, but as Surprise Valley works out the kinks in testing having already conducted repairs to initial mechanical issues, it is only a matter of time before Paisley residents get to enjoy untapped energy that has been directly underneath their feet the whole time.
