Head of Geothermal Association in Canada Runs For Office (CanGEA)

Alison Thompson, CanGEA Chair, is running for MP in Foothills, Alberta

"Since CanGEA's inception in 2007, Alison Thompson has worked tirelessly to steward the industry association into an influential organization that creates business opportunities for geothermal stakeholders. Despite many hurdles over the past eight years, Alison has led the CanGEA team to countless successes through far ranging policy work and outreach initiatives. These efforts are contributing to diversifying the Canadian economy and improving the environment. As well as supporting First Nations and small businesses, Alison has also mentored over a dozen youth by providing experience in the workforce and fostering their careers."

"Alison will be putting her money where her mouth is for her most recent endeavour, as she runs as a federal Member of Parliament candidate for a progressive party in the Foothills riding. She invites supporters of economic diversification to donate and volunteer their time towards a campaign underpinned by the intersection of the Environment and the Economy."
