Groundbreaking on 400 MW of Geothermal Power Projects Across Indonesia (ROL Republika Online)

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on Sunday, officially started the ground-breaking on a number of geothermal power plants (PLTP) in Indonesia.

  • 3rd and 4th units of 2x55 MW PLTP Ulubelu in Tanggamus district, Lampung Province, 
  • 5th unit of 2x20 MW PLTP Lahendong in Minahasa District, North Sulawesi, 
  • 1st unit of 30 MW PLTP Karaha in West Java, 
  • 1st and 2nd units of 110 MW PLTP Lumut Balai in South Sumatra, 
  • 1st unit of 55 MW PLTP Hululais in Bengkulu, and the 
  • 1st  unit of 55 MW PLTP Kerinci in Jambi.

The president also inaugurated the 35 MW 5th unit of PLTP Kamojang.
