Two Zero Emission Geothermal Plants in the Works (Close up Engineering)

Diego Righini, engineer and manager of Rome based ITW LKW is leading a technical team to develop two pilot zero polluting emission binary cycle geothermal plants in Viterbo and Terni, in the Lazio region of Italy. The 5 MW plants will use a closed fluid circuit at 300°F (150°C) so no there will be no gas dispersion or polluting emissions.

The first plant in Terni should be ready in September this year, while the Viterbo plant should be ready in the summer of 2016.
