Menengai Phase I Geothermal Project - Invitation for Bids

Tender for Supply of Geothermal Drilling Materials, Casings, etc


The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a grant from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of Menengai Geothermal Development Project. It is a state-owned entity that serves as a Special Purpose Vehicle to fast track the development of geothermal resources in the country. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the contracts of procurement of Drilling Material, Drilling Casings; Drilling Accessories; Drilling Tubulars and Ring Spare Parts.

The Geothermal Development Corporation (GDC) now invite sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of assorted Drilling Materials including, Drilling Casings; Drilling Accessories; Drilling Tubulars and Ring Spare Parts in varying quantities.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address below between 9.00 a.m and 4.00 pm during weekdays:

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the above said executing agencies and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD 12 or equivalent in any freely convertible currency. The bidding documents may be sent via email for delivery within or outside Kenya, if specifically so requested by the interested eligible bidders.

Bids must be delivered to the GDC offices on or before June 10th, 2015 at 10.30 am and must be accompanied by a security amount USD 340,000 or equivalent in any freely convertible currency.
