Saint Lucia Set to Host Novel Geothermal Donors Conference (St. Lucia Times)

The Government of Saint Lucia (GOSL), through the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Energy, Science and Technology is set to host a major Donors Conference on financing the Exploratory Drilling Phase of the Geothermal Development Project on Tuesday March 3 and Wednesday 4, 2015.

The two day exercise seeks to design a realistic roadmap for financing the project`s second phase, in a manner that protects the Government and People of Saint Lucia from overexposure in the financing risks involved in this very costly project.

This novel approach aims to raise an estimated US$20 - US$30 million, initially, which will be required for the exploratory drilling.
