EERE/GTO Director Doug Hollett Moves On

Doug Hollett, Director of the Geothermal Technologies Office (GTO) in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has taken a new position at DOE effective November 21. He is now the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Renewable Power taking over from Steven Chalk.

In this role, he’ll have responsibility for the Solar, Wind and Water, and Geothermal portfolios as well as the Grid Team. Jay Nathwani, currently Chief Engineer, will be Acting Director of GTO as the DOE works to find a replacement.

The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) wish Doug well in his new position.
