Bacon-Manito Geothermal Plants Extends Power Supply Deal (InterAksyon)

Power supply agreement for 50 MW over five years

In separate disclosures to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) and Energy Development Corp (EDC) announced that the Bacon-Manito geothermal plants would continue to supply the distributor.

EDC, through subsidiary Bacman Geothermal Inc, will supply Meralco with 50 MWe of power for five years, which may be extended by another two years.

"The agreement shell be submitted to the Energy Regulatory Commission for approval," both companies said.
