Montelago Geothermal Drilling Project Gets Tax Incentives (InterAksyon)

Renewable energy developer Emerging Power Inc (EPI) has received tax incentives from the government for the company's geothermal power project in Mindoro.

Antonio G. Zamora, EPI chairman, said the Board of Investments (BOI) fiscal incentives would help fast track project development.

EPI is developing up to 40 megawatts of generating capacity from the $185 million geothermal power project in Naujan, Oriental Mindoro.

The facility is targeted for completion by the third quarter of 2016.
