Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corp. (PSALM) said seven groups qualified to bid for the right to become the independent power producer administrator of Mt. Apo 1 and 2 power plants in North Cotabato.
PSALM identified the qualified groups as EDC Mindanao Geothermal Inc., FDC Misamis Power Corp., GDF Suez Energy Philippines Inc., SMC Global Power Holdings Corp., Therma Southern Mindanao Inc., Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp. and Vivant Geo Power Corp.
Ledesma said the prequalified bidders were issued the final IPPA administration agreement for Mt. Apo 1 and 2. The power privatization firm said the deadline for the submission of bids is 12 noon Wednesday, with the opening and evaluation of bids ensuing thereafter.
