Menengai Geothermal Half-Marathon (GDC)

This year, the Menengai Geothermal Half-Marathon, organized by the Geothermal Development Company (GDC), will take place on Sunday, 21st September 2014 in Nakuru County. Registration process is already ongoing. The race will be an ample opportunity to support the “Run for Health” initiative in Nakuru County and its environs.

The GDC Area Manager Mr. Benjamin Kubo, speaking on behalf of the MD and CEO Dr. Silas Simiyu thanked the sponsors for supporting this year’s marathon and encouraged Kenyans to run to better their health.

“We run because everybody should be healthy since running is the doorway to excellent health. We must run until there are no more diseases or loss of lives because of inadequate health services,” he added.
