ABB was awarded a contract to supply the telecommunications system, protection system, instrument and electrical equipment and services for the Energy Development Corp. (EDC) owned Northern Negros Relocation Project. The project involves relocation of the existing generating unit and electromechanical equipment of the Northern Negros geothermal power plant (NNGPP) to a new location at Nasulo, located in the southeast part of the same island of Negros.
Sumitomo Corp. is engaged as the engineering, procurement, construction contractor for the project. The project is due for completion in 2014.
