EGP could sell stake in geothermal plants in USA
Italy’s Enel Green Power (EGP) will seek to sell a minority stake in its North American renewables portfolio and dispose of its entire French wind business, the company said today.Newly-installed CEO Francesco Venturini said the group has begun sounding out buyers for a possible minority equity stake in a package of wind, solar, hydro and geothermal capacity.
According to its website Enel Green Power North America is a leading owner and operator of 72 MW in geothermal - 25 MW Cove Fort geothermal plant, Utah, 33 MW Stillwater geothermal plant, Nevada and the 13.4 MW Salt Wells geothermal plant in Nevada.
