Mexico Senate Committees Approve Electricity, Geothermal Laws
El senado de México acaba de avalar las leyes de Industria Eléctrica, Energía Geotérmica y las modificaciones pertenecientes a la ley de Aguas Nacionales.Two Mexican senate committees have approved secondary legislation relating to electricity and geothermal energy. Under the legislation energy ministry (Sener) will be in charge of awarding contracts to private firms to provide electricity generation services, as well as the occupation or expropriation of buildings necessary for the development of the electricity sector.
