In April 2012, the Geothermal Technologies Office sponsored the development of the Geothermal Regulatory Roadmap (GRR). The GRR Team has been working with federal, state and local agencies to develop a working guide for agency, industry and policymakers use in an effort to understand regulatory processes and identify potential areas of concern. The project has since been expanded to include additional technologies and tools. RAPID was developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
