GRC Member to Speak to Congressional Audience on Geothermal Energy (Lawrence Berkeley National Lab)

In Washington D.C. later this month, GRC member Pat Dobson of the Earth Sciences Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab will be one of three speakers on the topic of “Geothermal Energy Transformations: Nationwide Resources and Value Chains,” as part of the Energy from the Earth Briefing Series.

These presentations, which will take place at the Longworth House Office Building, are the second part of a series of talks hosted by a number of U.S. scientific agencies (including AGU and several other U.S. geological professional societies)—and are intended for Congressional staff members to help inform Federal energy legislation.

Doug Hollett, the head of the DOE Geothermal Technologies Office, will moderate the presentations for this geothermal energy briefing, which is scheduled for Wed. January 29th.
