Calpine Recognized with 12th California Department of Conservation Award (News Release)

On June 20, the California Department of Conservation’s Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) presented its annual Outstanding Geothermal Field and Lease Facility Maintenance Award to The Geysers for the Prati lease operated by CPN Wild Horse Geothermal, LLC.

This is GRC Group Member Calpine Corporation’s 12th consecutive annual lease award. Currently, CPN Wild Horse Geothermal operates 16 wells in The Geysers Geothermal field, seven of which are located on the Prati lease. Altogether, Calpine operates 326 active wells and 15 power plants in The Geysers geothermal field that are capable of producing 725 MWe of clean, reliable, renewable power.
